The treatment of head and neck cancer can include a combination of chemotherapy, radiation, immunotherapy, and surgery. This course will offer the dental health care provider with information on the dental management prior to, during, and following treatment for oropharynx cancer. Topics will include pretreatment dental evaluation, as well as management of xerostomia, mucositis, trismus, radiation-induced dental decay, oral infections, and osteoradionecrosis.
