Terminal cancer patient denied compound in magic mushrooms after rule change
Health Canada says it changed its rules on psilocybin, the hallucinogen in magic mushrooms that some patients use to treat anxiety and feelings of distress, because more research is needed on its safety and efficacy. Experts in the field say the new system is creating more difficulty for palliative-care patients.
