This forum will discuss evidence-based operative standards for the performance of pancreatoduodenectomy as outlined in the Operative Standards for Cancer Surgery, Volume 1. This will include review of technical standards and the rationale supporting these recommendations.

Learning Objectives: At the completion of the activity, participants should be able to:
- Recognize the key operative standards for the performance of pancreatoduodenectomy endorsed by the American College of Surgeons Cancer Research Program and Cancer Surgery Standards Program.
- Understand evidence-based rationale for these standards.
- Describe technical aspects of the operative standards.
- Gain insight into current controversies and opportunities for ongoing improvement.

The American College of Surgeons designates this live and recorded activity for a maximum of 1.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. Recorded content is posted in the ACS Learning Management System (LMS). Participants will only earn the CME credit if the content is viewed through the ACS LMS – CME will not be earned by watching this YouTube video.

Instructions for finding the courses in LMS:
- Website address: Learning.facs.org
- LMS Course – all courses are in the course catalog tab, registration for the courses is required.
- After registration is complete, you must access the course to see the handout, video, evaluation and print the certificate.
- Logging in to LMS – If you have access to the CoC, NAPBC or NAPRC portals, use that login. If you do not, create a new account.
- Transcripts in the LMS – will have all completed courses certificates of completions.
- Error messages in LMS – Log out of the LMS, clear your computer’s internet history, and log back in.
