Bahar Laderian, MD, Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, OH, discusses how primary site, stage, and surgery can influence overall survival (OS) in gastrointestinal (GI) neuroendocrine tumors (NETs). Patients from a database were analyzed, and OS was improved in patients with stage IV, localized tumors who received surgery, especially in patients with pancreatic and gastric NETs. This interview took place at the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) 2023 Gastrointestinal Cancers (GI) Symposium in San Francisco, CA.
