There are two types of risk factors for cervical cancer:
1. HPV-related
2. Non-HPV related.
Non-HPV risk factors are:
1. Low socio-economic status,
2. Oral Contraceptive pills and
3. Smoking.
HPV-related risk factors are:
1. Early onset of sexual activity,
2. Multiple sexual partners,
3. History of sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) and
4. Early ONSET of childbirth which causes repeated injury to cervical cancer.
