The Johns Hopkins Breast Center was the first institution to develop and conduct retreats for patients with metastatic breast cancer. There is a great need for these three-day, two-night programs to be offered across the country given nearly 40,000 women die each year due to breast cancer. The support and resources provided to patients and their loved ones is profound. All stage IV breast cancer patients deserve this opportunity.
