“I have a personal/family history of PANCREATIC CANCER or PANCREATIC NEUROENDOCRINE TUMOR. Should I have genetic counseling and possibly genetic testing?”

Welcome to video #5 of our video series! We are recording videos explaining who should have genetic counseling and genetic testing based on the cancers in them or in their families. We will focus on one cancer per video, even though there is lots of overlap in the genetic testing world.

This video focuses on who should have genetic counseling and testing for Hereditary Pancreatic Cancer and Hereditary Pancreatic Neuroendocrine Tumors. Watch as we give detailed explanations and discuss examples of the following bullet points:

□ Exocrine pancreatic cancer (i.e. adenocarcinoma) at any age
□ Pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor (insulinoma, VIPoma, nonfunctional, etc.) at any age
□ No personal history of pancreatic cancer/neuroendocrine tumor, but a first-degree or second-degree relative meeting any of the above criteria
□ Tumor genomics profiling showing a mutation that could have clinical implications if found in the germline (e.g. BRCA)

If you and/or your family falls into any of these categories, book an appointment with us at www.cookgenetics.com
