Oral Cancer is cancer that develops in the tissues of the mouth or throat. There are different sites of oral cancer such as tongue, buccal mucosa, tonsils, pharynx, lip, the floor of the mouth. The most common causes for oral cancer are tobacco, alcohol, ill-fitted dentures, consumption of toxic material and viral infections. The symptoms of oral cancer are non-healing ulcers, bleeding, difficulty in swallowing and breathing, swelling or lump in the neck, appetite and weight loss.
