Oral Cancer: A Comprehensive Overview
The presentation provides participants with a comprehensive review of oral cavity cancer, including information about the warning signs of oral malignancy and the potential clinical course of this disease with and without therapy. The content will include discussion of disease etiology, risk factors for cancer, pre-cancerous lesions, early and advanced cancers, diagnostic work up, treatment, prognosis, complications and morbidities of therapy.

• Identify the risk factors and precursor lesions for the development of oral cancer.
• Discuss the appropriate diagnostic work up, treatment and surveillance for oral cancer.
• Recognize the impact of depth of invasion, nodal metastasis, and perineurial invasion on recurrence rates and survival.
• Discuss the possible complications of oral cancer treatment and suggested management strategies.
