My husband had male breast cancer and did not know it affected men. Washburn is the face of male breast cancer awareness. She teaches how to identify and check for signs and symptoms of male breast cancer, its treatment plan,medication and home care for cancer patients. She does so by sharing her own husband's male breast cancer journey, the late Marlyn Washburn, who discovered a lump in his chest that after diagnosis turned out to be breast cancer.
