Meet Gerald: Multiple Myeloma Survivor

Meet Gerald, a survivor of multiple myeloma and West Cancer Center patient. After being diagnosed with multiple myeloma, Gerald lost over 100 pounds and was beginning to make hospice arrangements when West Cancer Center oncologist, Dr. Martin, asked him to try a new treatment. Gerald obliged and has since regained and maintained a healthy weight and lifestyle, even playing basketball on a regular basis. Gerald often refers to the staff at West as his family and says he loves his monthly visits to the clinic. The relationship between Gerald and his medical team are like many here at West Cancer Center, one of close ties and sharing in both good times and hard.
