Learn about Testicular Cancer, Scrotal Lumps & How To Check Your Testicles | Men's Health
This video shows you how to check for testicular lumps which include:
Testicular cancer, hydrocoele, varicocele, epididymal cysts.and trauma.
you also need to check for pain, and swelling that might indicate infection such as epididymitis, orchitis, as well as testicular torsion.
How to examine your testicle
1. Examine each testicle. Using both hands, place your index and middle fingers under the testicle and your thumbs on top. should feel smooth and firm but not hard
2. Gently roll the testicle between your thumbs and fingers. Look and feel for any changes to your testicle. These could include hard lumps, smooth rounded bumps, or new changes in the size, shape or consistency of the testicle.
A testicular lump does not mean you have to see the Dr straight away - most lumps are testicular cysts, wait 4 weeks, just continue to monitor for changes, other scrotal lumps can be scar tissue due to trauma
if you are very concerned or not sure , then see the Dr who can do the examination for you
