There is Hope. Today there are many long term pancreatic cancer survivors. Howard Young is an example of this hope. Having been given just months to live when diagnosed in 2003, today he is a 13-year survivor. He gives credit to clinical trials led by Dr. Daniel Von Hoff. Physcian0in-Chief at TGen, a Phoenix-based cancer research institution and the Seena Magowitz Foundation that funds pancreatic cancer research at TGen.

Although pancreatic cancer has the worst survival rate of all cancers, medical research is advancing at a quicker pace which gives greater hope for patients. Howard Young serves as inspiration for patients to keep fighting. The more immediate goals of the Seena Magowitz Foundation is a strong focus on early detection methods and extending quality of life with longer vision of a cure of this brutal disease.
