Hair Donation for Wigs For Cancer Survivors | Sisters Cutting Hair for a cause | World Cancer Day
I had never thought of donating my hair because that thought never entered my head until I saw a video of two kids donating their hair to make a wig for cancer survivors and i got inspired to do the same.
Hope this video does the same to you. If by any chance you want to cut your hair let it grow a little longer and cut it off because it could become a wig to a cancer survivor, Instead of the hair going off in the bin.
It doesn't take much efforts to grow hair ( not applicable for all) just leave it be, oil it and comb occasionally ๐ฌ
A cancer survivor has to go through a tedious process of chemo therapy which results in hair loss and most of the time lowers their self esteem which stems from lack of hair.
A wig made of natural hair is very expensive. (very obvious by the fact that it has an entire black market dedicated to it). So on 4th Feb, me and @verina.dalmeida decided to donate our hair to brighten up someone's day.
There are a lot of organization that accept donated hair and have their own terms and conditions. So make sure you do your part of research on the how to donate your hair.
Spread the message, create awareness and inspire somone๐
