Cortical desmoids are benign and developmental findings in patients between 10 and 15 years of age. They appear as cortical irregularity in the posteromedial distal femoral metaphysis beneath the medial gastocnemius or adductor magnus tendon attachments. They are "don't touch me" lesions and will spontaneously resolve as the patient matures.
