Megan Gallagher graduated Summa Cum Laude from Humboldt State University in Arcata, CA, with a Bachelors Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. Her primary areas of study were Psychology, Leadership, and Communications. She then completed her Masters in Rehabilitation Counseling* at Salve Regina University in Newport, RI. She is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in both RI and MA, specializing in behavior modification, pain management, trauma, and employment/vocational concerns. She is trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) which is recognized as an evidence-based treatment for psychological trauma and depression by the SAMHSA National Registry of Evidence Based Programs and Practices (NREPP). Megan believes in treating each client as a whole person and not just a diagnosis.
A rehabilitation counselor is a skilled professional trained to help people with disabilities (physical, behavioral, mental health, developmental, etc) become more integrated into society and reach the highest level of self-sufficiency and the greatest degree of happiness possible.
