Chronic lymphocytic leukemia, the promise of CD38 as a new target

CD38 represents a new and emerging target for the treatment of chronic lymphocytic leukemia. We have interviewed an expert, Aneel Paulus, Assistant Professor of Medicine, Dept. of Cancer Biology, Mayo Clinic, Jacksonville (Florida), about this topic during the 3rd SOHO Italy annual conference, in Rome. SOHO Italy is the Italian section of the Society of Hematologic Oncology and is born from a partnership between Istituto Scientifico Romagnolo per lo Studio dei Tumori ‘Dino Amadori’ IRST-IRCCS (Meldola, Italy) and MD Anderson Cancer Center(Houston, Texas).
