Cervical lymph node cancer with unknown origin successfully treated with surgery & radiation the

Mr. Gajendra Singh, 39 years male from Aurangpur, Gautam Buddha Nagar came to Jaypee Hospital with a lump in his neck. PET CT scan and Pan Endoscopy showd presence of lymph nodes in the neck but the primary was not recognised in that region. Primary site of cancer was not found even after Bilateral tonsillectomy and blind biopsies.
Dr. Ashish Goel, Director, Department of Surgical Oncology did the surgery to successfully remove all the lymph nodes preserving the main vessels, nerves and muscles.
Dr. Abhishek Gulia, Senior Consultant, Department of Radiation Oncology gave radiation therapy post surgery targeting all risk regions, for this carcinoma with unknown origin. It was a difficult job, but was done successfully with high level of expertise. After one year of completion of the treatment he is absolutely fine now and leading a good life without any side effects.
