Inge experienced symptoms such as constant diarrhoea and stomach problems and was originally diagnosed with celiac disease. The symptoms returned however after a few years of following a gluten free diet and she returned to the gastroenterologist who diagnosed Pancreatic NET.
After having surgery to remove the pancreatic neuroendocrine tumour Inge now leads a normal life with the help of a daily antacid which helps with the symptoms.
Inge is now Chairwomen of the board for BS-NET a patient support group for those living with Pancreatic NET. The work of BS-NET is carried out across Europe, they strive to improve early diagnosis through raising awareness of the condition. BS-NET also provides patients with the opportunity to share their experiences of pancreatic NET.
