BWS Awareness - Tongue Twister Challenge - Jack Deadmen
This video is about BWS Awareness .
In honor of Bechwith-Wiedemann Day and all our BWS friends and family, and Dr. Kalish's groundbreaking BWS research, please join us in helping spread awareness and raise money to help our BWS community.
Why Tongue Twisters?
Many children with BWS have macroglossia (enlarged tongues) and subsequently have trouble with feeding and breathing. Many will have tongue reduction surgery. Please join us in trying out a tongue twister video as we spread awareness about BWS.
What is BWS? Beckwith-Wiedemann Syndrome (BWS) is a rare genetic disorder. Up to 25 percent of children with BWS develop cancer, most commonly liver and kidney cancer. Some children with BWS may need to see other specialists. For example, children with leg-length discrepancies may require evaluation by an orthopedist. Other areas of specialty care include oncology, plastic surgery, and genetics.
Make and share your own tongue twister videos and challenge your friends!
