This song perfectly describes the relationship between me and my daughter. She was born when I was at my sickest point in my battle with desmoid sarcoma. She had been my guardian angel looking after me but decided that she needed to come here to this physical plane in person to take care of me. I was on heavy doses of morphine along with other narcotics and medications when I found out I was pregnant. I even went through a major surgery while pregnant knowing that I could lose her... but she was persistent in wanting to be born so that she could grow up to be my biggest advocate and caregiver. She is and has always been a huge help in keeping me healthy, active, and smiling. She drives me to doctors appointments and waits for me at MRI's. Some days she just calls me to make sure that I'm okay. I couldn't be happier to have my guardian angel at my side to sing this song. My husband is my other caregiver and support system, he is accompanying on guitar.(The song is a mashup of Brave by Sara Bareilles and Roar by Katy Perry performed at the Desmoid Tumor Research Foundation's Patient Meeting.)
