8. SOUNDBITE (Arabic) Sameh Sallam, barber:
"I am a male hair stylist, but I got the idea while watching a video on social media for an Iraqi kid who was also a cancer patient and I understood that the chemotherapy is the reason behind the hair loss and the wig is a good substitute for their real hair, and when I saw the happiness on the child's face it made me really happy. I immediately decided to do it for free without thinking about money or anything else and with God's help I will try to make those children happy."

10. SOUNDBITE (Arabic) Sameh Sallam, barber:
"I started to share the idea on my page and other pages and groups. Thanks to God, many people were happy and excited about the idea and they felt how humanitarian it is because it is all humanitarian and about how everyone can help those children through their jobs with any idea."

"This is really beautiful, Lara is in kindergarten and this (hair loss) is a big problem for her among her friends and pupils as she really wants to have hair again. She used to have long hair but due to cancer she lost her hair and her mood and spirit became really down. And as you know it is not all about medicine but the psychological condition is really important. That's why I came here specifically to meet Mr Sameh and I really hope all people know about this initiative."

LEADIN:
An Egyptian barber is helping children with cancer by providing them with free wigs.
Sameh Sallam got the idea from social media and is hoping other hairdressers will follow suit.
STORYLINE:
Skipping and full of excitement, 5 year-old Lara pulls her father Mostafa Hassan into their local barber shop.
This little girl has been going through a tough time since being diagnosed with cancer and has lost her hair.
But barber Sameh Sallam has come up with a way of giving children like Lara a much needed boost.
He's launched a campaign to provide high quality synthetic wigs to children with cancer completely free of charge.
Sallam got the idea after seeing an Iraqi child receive a free wig on social media.
"When I saw the happiness on the child's face it made me really happy. I immediately decided to do it for free without thinking about money or anything else and with God's help I will try to make those children happy," he says.
Local people have started calling Sallam the 'Barber of Happiness'... and after sharing his initiative on social media he's hoping others will follow suit.
"Thanks to God, many people were happy and excited about the idea and they felt how humanitarian it is," he says.
Sallam has already helped out 10 children, including Lara, in just two weeks.
Lara's father Mostafa Hassan hopes this will help restore his little girl's confidence.
"She used to have long hair but due to cancer she lost her hair and her mood and spirit became really down," he says.
