Ataxia is a movement disorder caused by damage to the cerebellum that can cause symptoms such as poor movement coordination, “jerky” movements, slurred speech, involuntary rapid eye movement, difficulty writing, picking up small objects, and/or moving the fingers fine motor, and unsteady gait.
