Hey everyone and welcome to my channel! Im currently in pursuit of becoming a great physician in the field of Gastroenterology! Many years ago, I began my medschool career and although it was a long and demanding journey, throughout all those years, I learned I had a particular fascination and pull towards the field of Gastroenetrology. And so, after much hesitation and contemplation, I decided to start this channel. Appendix cancer or appendiceal cancers are rare malignancies of the vermiform appendix. Gastrointestinal stromal tumors are rare tumors with malignant potential. Primary lymphomas can occur in the appendix. Breast cancer, colon cancer, and tumors of the female genital tract may metastasize to the appendix.

Can appendicitis be a sign of cancer?
Not everyone who has PMP will experience these symptoms. Further, because it is considered rare, PMP is often misdiagnosed. In women, PMP may be confused with acute appendicitis or ovarian cancer (which can also cause abdominal swelling and produce mucin)
