After being diagnosed with Stage 2 Rectal Cancer on July 24, 2015, Kimberly Holiday-Coleman realized her life would change, but had no idea how immeasurable that change would be. On that day of this frightening and paralyzing diagnosis, Kimberly and her hubby of 17 years at the time, vowed to kick cancer’s butt.

However, shortly after completing the first half of her year-long treatment protocol of oral chemotherapy paired with 33 radiation treatments, she almost lost her life to a bowel perforation/obstruction. After having life-saving surgery, she was given a temporary- two-year colostomy. She has since chosen to keep her stoma permanently, and affectionately named it "Toodles“.

Since her diagnosis and treatments, Kimberly has been featured in different book projects, won community advocacy awards, and is a motivational speaker, both internationally and domestically. Dove #showus online project on Instagram highlighted her ostomy baring pics from Australia.

Today, this mom of 6 kiddos and wife of 22+ years offers a refreshing perspective on body image, self-acceptance, community, her stoma, and finding joy in life after cancer/trauma and dismantling negative stigmas/ break down barriers with the goal to promote positivity for both, ostomy and cancer awareness.
