मुखाचा / तोंडाचा कर्करोग कसा टाळण्यात येईल?
१- तंबाखू व तंबाखूजन्य पदार्थ सेवन पूर्णपणे बंद करा. ( गरज पडली तर तंबाखू सोड्याण्यासाठी आपल्या डॉक्टरांची मदत घ्या.)
२- तोंडाचे आरोग्य सांभाळायचे आवश्यक असते जसे कि खराब झालेले दात, तोंडाचे संसर्ग किंवा तोंडाचे आजार, हिरड्यांचे संसर्ग आणि हिरड्यांचा आजार या वर उपचार करा.
३- ह्युमन पॅपिलोमाव्हायरस (एचपीव्ही) नावाचा लैंगिक संक्रमित व्हायरस चा संसर्ग होऊ देऊ नका.

मुखाच्या कर्करोगाचे उपचार काय असतात?
१- Operation Treatment with Radiation Chemotherapy.
२- आजार कोणत्या स्टेज ला आहे याच्यावर उपचार ठरवलं जातं.
- प्राथमिक स्टेज च्या तोंडाच्या कर्करोगासाठी ऑपेरेशन ने उपचार केला जातो. तो कॅन्सर चा भाग काढला जातो आणि त्याच्याबरोबर मानेच्या लसीक ग्रंथी ( Lymph Nodes ) हे हि काढले जातात. जर काढलेला भाग मोठा असेल किंवा त्यामुळे खाण्यात अडचण येणार असेल तर त्यासाठी plastic surgery सुद्धा करण्यात येते.
- स्टेज २ किंवा ३ मध्ये मोठ्या प्रकारचं ऑपेरेशन करावं लागू शकतं. म्हणजे मोठा भाग काढला जातो, अशा वेळेला plastic surgery किंवा reconstructive techniques तोंडाचे आकार नीट करायला करावे लागतात.
- जर आजार खूप जास्त वाढला असेल तर ऑपेरेशन पूर्वी chemotherapy करून कॅन्सर ची गाठ कमी करावी लागते.
- पशन झाल्यानंतर स्टेज २ किंवा ३ असेल तर त्याला radiation किंवा chemotheraphy and radiation असा जोड उपचार दिला जातो.

लवकर निदान झाल्यास मुखाचा कर्करोग हा पूर्णपणे बारा होऊ शकतो. त्यामुळे जर तुम्हाला काही लक्षण दिसल्यास डॉक्टरांकडे लगेच जावा अँड उपचार चालू करा.
