A tracheostomy is a hole in the neck that allows oxygen to enter the lungs. The tracheostomy tube is placed through an opening into the windpipe so oxygen can travel down into a patient’s lungs.

We’re going over the basics of tracheostomy care and explaining how to do tracheostomy suctioning safely and effectively.
