Reasons for bladder removal in bladder cancer | UroChannel
Bladder cancer starts off asymptomatic in many cases. Basically, there are two types: non muscle invasive and muscle invasive. If the cancer penetrates into the deeper layers of the bladder and becomes muscle invasive, chances for cure decrease rapidly, whereas the non-muscle invasive form is very much curable. The European Association of Urology launches a campaign on urological diseases each fall to raise the awareness for certain conditions among the population. Dr. med. Dr. phil. Stefan Buntrock, urologist from Gรถttingen, explains in this #short on UroChannel when the bladder has to be removed.
