Peritoneal metastasis

This is a short video for the viewers to understand how does the spread of cancer inside the abdomen look.Once the cancer cells get access to the abdominal cavity they follow the flow of peritoneal fluid and get deposited on the peritoneum. The deposits can vary in size and shape. The spread may also be associated with malignant fluid in the abdomen. Most of these deposits are not very thick and hence they are not picked up by CT/PET scans.
