Long-term disability claim denied? Please don't email
If your long-term disability claim is denied the insurance company is hoping that all you do is send them a letter that says "I appeal." If a lawyer did this it would be malpractice yet claimants do it every day because they are getting really bad advice from the insurance company. The insurance company jumps for joy and opens a bottle of champagne when they get a simple note that says "I appeal." This video explains why you're probably committing malpractice with your own claim if you don't do a full and proper appeal.
