What is hydrosalpinx?
Hydrosalpinx is when a blocked fallopian to fills with fluid if it happens on both size it is known as hydrosalpinges.
What are the causes of hydrosalpinx?
The most common causes of hydrosalpinx are sexually transmitted diseases, tuberculosis, infections, adhesions and endometriosis.

What are the symptoms of hydrosalpinx?
Usually there are no symptoms of hydrosalpinx but because of infection and pelvic inflammatory disease you may experience pelvic pain you can also have flu like symptoms and some unusual discharge.
However the major reason for the detection is investigations for infertility.
How is hydrosalpinx diagnosed?
Hydrosalpinx is diagnosed by his hystero salpingography and sometimes by Sonosalpingography also.
What is the treatment of hydrosalpinx?
if they are in the early stage then the tubes may be opened do at times because of infection the fimbria are destroyed so the tubes despite being open are non functional.in case there are grade 3 or grade 4 hydrosalpinx we need to remove them before we proceed for an IVF procedure. They can also be clipped.
Can I still get pregnant with hydrosalpinx?
It depends on the the severity of the disease however if it all you get pregnant the chances of complications like miscarriage are higher.
What is the best treatment of hydrosalpinx?
The best treatment for hydrosalpinx is laparoscopic salpingectomy followed by IVF for a baby.
