How I Overcame Fear After My Cancer Diagnosis | Valarie's Multiple Myeloma Story

Valarie’s life flipped in an instant after she was diagnosed with multiple myeloma. At first, she became overwhelmed with fear but she slowly turned that fear into learning more about her disease. In her story, she shares how she processed her diagnosis, the treatment she underwent and the fears and challenges of going through a stem cell transplant. 

As a cancer survivor, her goal is to learn more about the disease, educate others and bring light to health inequity. She wants to use her voice for those who cannot speak up for themselves to ensure that they receive equitable access to good healthcare, clinical trials and proper treatment.
