How a thymoma diagnosis changed me

When Richard Coy was diagnosed with thymoma, a rare type of cancer that affects the thymus gland, he decided to seek treatment at The University of MD Anderson Cancer Center. Thanks to the thymoma treatment he received at MD Anderson, he was declared cancer-free. Coy says his thymoma journey changed his outlook on life.

“After you find out you have cancer, you appreciate every day,” he says. “That’s the gift that cancer gave me.”
