How a support group helped me during anal cancer treatment

For Michele Longabough, coping with the stigma of anal cancer wasn’t easy at first. Unsatisfied with the support groups available in her hometown, she started her own support group. When her cancer returned, she traveled from her home in Kansas to Houston for her anal cancer treatment at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. Today, she’s cancer-free and a voice for anal cancer awareness.
