Evolving treatment landscape of mesothelioma

Kevin Blyth, MBChB, MD, FRCP, University of Glasgow, Glasgow, UK, reflects on the evolving treatment landscape of mesothelioma, highlighting combination immunotherapy as the new standard of care for this patient population. Dr Blyth also touches on current unmet needs such as therapeutic approaches for patients who do not respond to checkpoint inhibition, as well as optimal management of early-stage mesothelioma which is becoming of increased importance due to improvements in the diagnostic pathway.
