#Stone in #bile #duct is an emergency. Bile duct stones occur due to slippage from #gallbladder.
#gallbladderstone can slip in the bile duct.
Bile duct is also known as #pitt ki #nali
Symptoms of bile duct stone are fever, jaundice, pain abdomen
Blood test shows increased bilirubin, serum alkaline phosphatase (SAP), SGOT/SGPT
Diagnosis is confirmed by USG abdomen, MRPC, and #EUS
Treatment is by #ERCP
ERCP is an endoscopic technique, highly effective in removing stones from the bile duct
During ERCP, bile duct stone #removal is done, and a #stent is placed.
Stent is removed after the 4 weeks of surgery.
Complications of ERCP are pancreatitis, leak, perforation and bleeding
