#50SecondBloodFilm: Prolymphocytic leukaemia

September is Blood Cancer Awareness month in the UK and so I decided to share this case of prolymphocytic leukaemia.

The immunophenotyping results showed expression of CD19 and CD20 which are B-cell markers. CD5 and FMC7 was weakly expressed an expression also seen in mantle cell lymphoma (MCL). Strong expression was also seen in light-chain restricted kappa or lambda light chains, CD20, CD11c. Unlike chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL), CD79b is strongly expressed.
