You must have been hearing about a lot of cases of adulterants. However, when samples of momos were collected from a few major cities, rotten vegetables, dog meat, and faecal matter were identified to be present in the filling of those samples. But hold on, let me tell you that all these samples were collected from very famous restaurants in the cities.
Apart from this, the fine flour used to make momos contained harmful chemicals like - azodicarbonamide, benzoyl peroxide, and alloxan, to make the momos look white and soft.
According to health experts, these chemicals may severely damage your pancreas and may hinder the secretion of insulin from it, which may lead you to diabetes.
Along with this, some health experts also bet about the intense damage to your body by the chemical Monosodium Glutamate, which is widely used to enhance the taste of momos.
Some Senior Doctors state that this MSG can be the cause of very serious and rare diseases related to your digestion system. It has still not been proved that MSG causes cancer, although a few cancer symptoms have been already noted in the momo lovers.
