We review the basic surgical options for appendiceal cancers, and the many (often overlapping) names for subtypes of appendiceal tumors (NETs, LAMN, HAMNs, adenocarcinoma, etc). We then discuss in broad strokes which patients are treated by appendectomy alone vs which patients will need more invasive surgery.

This event was hosted by the Appendix Cancer Pseudomyxoma Peritonei (ACPMP) Research Foundation, Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist, University of Chicago Medicine and University of Utah Huntsman Cancer Ins****ute. The Symposium was held virtually via Zoom and was free and open to all! There were over 400 registrations from 25 countries.
