Symptoms of anal cancer include:
- bleeding from the back passage
- pain
- bowel changes
- severe itching (pruritus)
These symptoms can also be from other conditions, such as piles (haemorrhoids) or anal fissure. But it is important that you see your GP with any symptoms. Some people might have no symptoms.

Kidney cancer is found only in 2% to 3% of cancer cases in the world. It is commonly found in men. It can be treated completely if found in the initial stages, whereas it can only be controlled when found on the fourth stage. Hypertension could be one of the reasons in most kidney cancer cases.

Rachel is a kidney cancer survivor. She was diagnosed with stage 2 renal cell carcinoma kidney cancer in August of 2018. She underwent a laparoscopic nephrectomy of her right kidney and had a biopsy taken from the mass. At her follow-up appointment, it was confirmed she had kidney cancer, but they got it all! She went into remission and will have scans every six months.
Rachel shares her insight on being a young woman diagnosed with kidney cancer. She shares how her family and friends supported her and how her own mindset helped her through her cancer experience.
