थाइरोइड में जो गाँठ या गोइटर होता है जरुरी नहीं है की हर गाँठ कैंसर की हो गांठे साधारण गांठे होती है और कुछ गांठो में कैंसर रेहनेकी संभावना रहती है।
Thyroid की गाँठ cancerous है या नहीं , कैसे पता करे ? (Tests for Thyroid Cancer)
- सोनोग्राफी टेस्ट
- थाइरोइड के गाँठ की FNAC जिसे पता चलता है की थाइरोइड की गाँठ cancerous है या नहीं।
कई बार ऐसा भी होता है की FNC में कैंसर की जांच नहीं होती है पर इसका मतलब ऐसा नहीं है आपको कैंसर नहीं है। इसका मतलब यह है की FNAC negative आई है। ऐसे में thyroid का आधा भाग Hemithyroidectomy का ऑपरेशन करके निकाला जाता है और इसके बाद इस भाग की histopathological जांच की जाती है। वह करके देखना पड़ता है की कैंसर है या नहीं। और अगर कैंसर है तो और गाँठ बड़ी हो तो बाकी बचा हुआ भाग भी निकालना पड़ता है।
थाइरोइड की हर गाँठ cancerous नहीं होती है। लेकिन गाँठ की FNAC और सोनोग्राफी करके उसकी जांच करनी जरुरी होती है।
Thyroid Cancer Screening
यह एक ऐसी टेस्ट है जो आम लोगो में की जाती है देखने केलिए की कैंसर है या नहीं। कभी कभी कैंसर के लक्षण नहीं दीखते है पर इन screening के कारण यह कैंसर काफी early स्टेज में पकड़ा जा सकता है। ऐसे कैंसर पूरी तरह से ठीक होनेकी संभावना ज्यादा होती है।
thyroid कैंसर में स्क्रीनिंग करना मना है क्योकि अगर इसका screening हो तो बोहोत सारे लोगो में यह कैंसर पाया जायेगा। बोहोत सारे लोगो में थाइरोइड कैंसर होता है लेकिन उनके कोई लक्षण दिखाई नहीं देते है और यह फैलता भी नहीं है। यह आपको नुक्सान भी नहीं करता।
इसीलिए thyroid कैंसर की screening नहीं की जाती।
दूसरा कारण thyroid cancer screening नहीं की जाती है क्योकि अगर पेशेंट को पहले स्टेज में पता ना चले की उसे कैंसर है। अगर थाइरोइड कैंसर symptomatic भी हो और उसका ट्रीटमेंट करे तो यह कैंसर पूरी तरह ठीक हो जाता है। Thyroid कैंसर के मौत होना नामुंकिन है।
इसीलिए thyroid कैंसर की screening नहीं की जाती।
तो अगर किसीको थाइरोइड के कोई भी लक्षण ,हो thyroid की गठान हो या गोइटर हो तो आपको जरूर डॉक्टर के पास जाना चाहिए और उसकी जांच करके उसकी ट्रीटमेंट लेनी चाहिए क्योकि यह कैंसर पूरी तरह ठीक हो सकता है।
