Oral cancer india मै बहुत ज़्यादा बढ़ता जारहा है और इसके कारन है, तम्बाकू(tobacco ), सिगरेट (cigarette) और बाकि पदार्थ| इस video मै Dr Joy Ghose (Oncologist at Sahyadri hospital, pune) हमें बताएंगे की क्या treatment options available है oral cancer के लिए|

इस cancer की शुरुआत मुँह के अंदर वाली lining से होती है, यह lining मै बहुत ही जरुरी structure जुड़े हुए है, जैसे की जिबह (toungue) या फिर jaw bone जिनसे जुड़े हुए काफी सारे operations किये जाते है|

'सबसे अच्छा इलाज मुँह के cancer के लिए operation होता है'

operation success rate काफी अच्छा मिलता है और recovery भी अच्छी और तेज़ होती है|
operation से पहले डॉ को कभी कबर CT Scan, MRI, और कभी कभी PET Scan की जरुरत पढ़ती है|
operation से पहले यह देखा जाता है की मुँह का cancer jawbone से कितना दूर है,
ज़ख़्म से इस दुरी को 'MARGIN' कहा जाता है|
कभी कबार यह margin जो ज़्यादातर १ cm होता है यह भी नहीं मिलपाता है, ऐसे मै jawbone की भी surgery करनी पढ़ती है, इस procedure मै देखा जाता है की क्या cancer से हड्डी affect हुई है या नहीं और अगर हड्डी भी cancer से प्रभावित हो जाती है तो पूरी jawbone को वहा से हटा दिया जाता है, अगर प्रभाव काम होता है तो हड्डी के एक हिस्से को निकलने से भी काम होजाता है|

मुँह के ऑपरेशन के बढ़ मरीज़ कैसे बात करेगा या खाएगा या कैसा दिखेगा यह सब सवाल (questions) मरीज़ के ख्याल मै आते है, Operation के वक़्त reconstruction भी plan किया जाता है, काफी जगहों पर plastic surgeon भी होते है जो reconstruction पर काम करते है और यह सब सर्जरी से पहले ही प्लान किया जाता है|
Recovery के साथ patient पहले से बेहतर तरह से खा पाएगा और बात कर पाएगा restructioning के कारन चेहरे मै ज्यादा बदलाव नहीं आएगा लेकिन वह पहले जैसे नहीं दिखेंगे|
