What Happens in Brain Tumor? | Symptoms and Causes (3D Animation)
A brain tumor is a condition in which cells in a specific area of our brain grow abnormally and add mass.
The brain is a complex organ located inside our skull.
The brain controls all voluntary and involuntary bodily functions.
However, cells in a specific part of our brain can grow abnormally and cause extra mass inside brain.
This mass puts pressure on the inside of the skull.
As a result, the patient experiences some symptoms.
like severe pain in head
vomiting, vision loss, double vision, difficulty speaking and hearing
body balance issues, numbness in any part of the body, or epilepsy etc.
all these symptoms appears in the patient at the initial stage of brain tumor
Tumors or cancer are caused by DNA mutations within cells.
which have many causes
as some people work in areas with high levels of radiation
where x-rays and ultraviolet rays frequently strike their bodies
due to which these radiations cause mutation in the DNA
due to which cells starts to grow abnormally
beside this some people develop tumor due to some genetical reasons
and this condition runs in the family
beside this viral or bacterial infections or any strong chemical can also cause tumors
brain tumor can happen in both males and females
but in males the ratio of brain tumor is high
This is because men can work outside of the home
where radiations and chemical exposure is high
brain tumor should be diagnosed and treated as soon as possible
because if left untreated it creates pressure on other cells of the brain
As a result, other cells begin to die, which can lead to death of the patient
A surgical procedure is performed to treat brain tumor called craniotomy
in craniotomy scalp is cut and skull is opened
and than with the help of surgical instruments tumor is removed
Radiotherapy or chemotherapy are also used to eliminate any remaining tumor cells.
so that the chances of developing tumor again decreases
