This is a short treatment outcome awareness video of a limb salvage surgery done for massive bone cancer(sarcoma)by Dr Srimanth B S

Osteosarcoma is an aggressive bone cancer. Multi-modality treatment is recommended with early initiation.
This is a case depiction of a massive bone cancer of lower end of thigh bone (osteosarcoma- lower end femur). The girl presented with her knee bent and fixed at 90 degree and had not walked with her foot on ground for 3 months.
She was diagnosed with Non metastatic osteosarcoma and immediately initiated on chemotherapy, to which she responded well. She was advised high above the knee amputation due to sheer size of the cancer, but on the contrary she successfully underwent limb salvage surgery. Further chemotherapy was provided and she went back home walking on her feet!
