Tongue Cancer Treatment: Surgery & Helical Tomotherapy Radiation │Patient Success Story│Max Sake

Mr. Ajmal Ahmed Lari came to Max Hospital, Saket, from Abu Dhabi, with a diagnosed case of Cancer of Tongue. His case was jointly evaluated by Dr. Rohit Nayyar, Director, Oncology & Surgical Oncology and Dr. Dodul Mondal, Associate Director, Radiation Oncology. The surgery was planned and he underwent partial excision of tongue with primary reconstruction of it and removal of lymph nodes from the neck. After the surgery, the patient received radiation using the Helical Tomotherapy technology. The patient recovered well from surgery with near normal voice and swallowing function.
