Thyroid and Pituitary Gland

Dr. Lara Paraskos, Endocrinologist with Baptist Health South Florida, explains the pituitary gland releases hormones that tell the rest of the body what to do. It releases a hormone called TSH and that stimulates the thyroid gland to produce thyroid hormone.

She says the thyroid and the pituitary gland regulate each other, they provide checks and balances.
