Matthew Grosser's diagnosis as a baby was devastating. He had something called an ependymoma, a brain tumor. Nurse practitioner Judy Correll's early memories of him are of his mother bringing him to the hospital in a stroller. Matt, now 22, is one of six boys in a family that has supported him through all of the trials of a cancer diagnosis and relapses. Matt prided himself on "not being different," although he says cancer has shaped who he is. He says he feels he needs to give back. He just graduated from the College of Mount St. Joseph, and now is pursuing a graduate degree in social work from the University of Louisville.
