Sarcomas of bone are one of the most challenging areas of surgical pathology (0.2% of all malignant tumors). Primary soft tissue sarcoma presenting primarily in bone (comprising 5-10% of bone sarcomas) pose a far greater challenge owing to their extreme rarity and lack of awareness. This objective of this talk is to create awareness about these rare bone sarcomas, discuss their clinical presentation, diverse radiological presentations, morphologic features, characteristic immunohistochemical and molecular findings and potential diagnostic pitfalls.
At the conclusion of this presentation, attendees should be able to:

1. Understand the evolution and updates in the classification of primary bone sarcomas

2. Predict prognosis based on the morphology and molecular characterization of the sarcomas

3. Recent updates in treatment and management of primary bone sarcomas
