Skin Cancer Screening Catches Cancer Early in Young Patient: Kelly Bathgate's Story

Kelly Bathgate is fair skinned and spent a good portion of her youth out in the sun. When a friend noticed a spot on her cheek that hadn't been there before, Bathgate when to see a dermatologist. The spot on Bathgate's face turned out to be melanoma. Stanford Hospital's Dr. Suamaira Aasi, Director of Mohs and Dermatologic Surgery, was able to remove the spot and eliminate the cancer.
