Sarah's Story - Breast Cancer Survivor and Lymphedema Warrior

Sarah shares her journey from cancer diagnosis, to treatment to searching for answers when her arms swelled up after surgery. She had breast cancer and developed stage 1 lymphedema in the right arm after a right lumpectomy and lymph node dissection of the right axilla. Dr. Granzow performed a breast reconstruction with bilateral DIEP flaps and VLNT to the right axilla. Almost 10 years after her VLNT surgery she still feels great and requires no lymphedema therapy or compression garment use to maintain her arm.
